High Atlas Trek – 5-Day Adventure through Ourika, Oukaimeden & Imlil

• An unforgettable journey into the heart of Morocco's High Atlas Mountains – a true hiker's paradise. Discover lush valleys, majestic peaks, and authentic Berber villages during a scenic and accessible trek. Your luggage will be carried by mules, allowing you to enjoy the walk light and free.

• Program Overview:

• Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
• Airport pickup, hotel check-in, currency exchange, and optional sightseeing depending on arrival time. Dinner is free and at your leisure.
• Day 2: Ourika Valley → Timichi (4 hrs walk)
• Morning drive to the Ourika Valley. Meet with mule drivers and start the trek. Gradual ascent to the village of Timichi (2,089 m). Picnic en route. Overnight in a guesthouse.
• Day 3: Timichi → Oukaimeden via Tizi N'Ouatar (7 hrs walk)
• Challenging day with a 1,200 m elevation gain. Cross the Tizi N'Ouatar pass (3,223 m), then descend to the ski resort of Oukaimeden (2,668 m). Overnight in a mountain guesthouse.
• Day 4: Oukaimeden → Tacheddirt via Tizi N'Adi (4 hrs walk)
• Scenic hike across the Tizi N'Adi pass (2,960 m) with panoramic views over the Imnane Valley. Picnic on the way. Overnight in the village of Tacheddirt.
• Day 5: Tacheddirt → Imlil via Tizi N'Tamatert (4 hrs walk)
• Climb to the Tizi N'Tamatert pass (2,279 m) with a view of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa. Descent to the picturesque village of Imlil. Guesthouse stay and visit of the village.
• Day 6: Walk to Sidi Chamharouch – Return to Marrakech
• Short morning walk to the marabout (mausoleum) of Sidi Chamharouch, a local pilgrimage site. Return to Imlil and transfer back to Marrakech by late morning.
